About us?

The Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences is a higher education institution focused on academic training in the chemical and biological sciences. The Faculty was founded with high educational standards in the interest of providing our students with a quality education in specific areas that focus on the molecular level, without excluding the areas that have long been the basis of these careers. We strive to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date education that integrates both theory and hands-on experience through laboratory work and research projects. Moreover, we foster innovation, scientific ethics, and critical thinking among our students to enable them to make significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge in their respective fields.

Mission

The mission of the Faculty of Chemical and Biological Sciences is to train professionals in the Chemical and Biological Sciences with a scientific, investigative, and comprehensive perspective. Graduates must be able to analyze and propose solutions to problems, and have access to first-class equipment during their training.

Vision

Our goal is for our Faculty to be recognized both nationally and internationally as a center of academic excellence. To achieve this, we strive to maintain high academic standards, a well-trained faculty in their respective specialties, utilizing up-to-date technologies to train ethical, competent professionals with broad leadership skills.

Objectives

Our goal is to educate professionals with the necessary competence, responsibility, and ethics to perform effectively in different fields of work while providing excellent service to the society; to be in charge of services and to organize, manage, and carry out activities within their field of work, teaching, and research. To be competent in the field of genetics and molecular biology, and to be able to strategically manage the resources of life science methodologies from a multidisciplinary perspective.

Dean’s message

In today's world we cannot underestimate the importance of science and research, after going through a pandemic come new global challenges, where the role of our students and graduates is more relevant. In this faculty we are training people who, through their dedication and hard work, are destined to do great work in the area of Chemical and Biological Sciences. We are training scientists and professionals capable of facing pressing challenges by seeking innovative solutions. To our students, we want to say that we are committed to face together with you this challenge of training professionals of excellence.

Continually updating their knowledge and skills in their area of expertise and in topics related to university-level teaching.
Capable of effectively collaborating in a team environment.

Learning methodologies

The Chemical and Biological Sciences career focuses on practical and collaborative pedagogy, integrating theory and experimentation in specialized laboratories.
